7. How to install the software
   ---------------------------

Please consult your CompuScope Getting Started Guide (located on this CD) for
detailed instructions for installing the Gage drivers and software for Gage
   CompuScope cards.

   IMPORTANT NOTES:

   a) If you have purchased an SDK, or if you are trying to install GageScope
software, you must first install the drivers for your hardware in order to
use the software. Administrative rights are required for the installation
      of these software packages.

If you do not install the drivers, the SDK sample programs and GageScope
      will not work properly.

   b) Please note that in order to install the CompuScope Windows drivers, you
must login as the Administrator of the system. The install program
will detect whether you have administrative rights; if you are not an
Administrator, you will be advised that you cannot install drivers on
      your system.
